It seems that the posters going up in New York did indeed mark the beginning of a stronger marketing push for Red Dead Redemption 2, like we had hoped.
Tomorrow, August 9th, Rockstar Games will be posting the first official gameplay trailer for the game.
Announced via the Newswire and Rockstar's social media profiles, the gameplay video will be published at 11 AM Eastern Time. 11 AM ET was also the time when the game's second trailer went live, incidentally. The video will be available on their website as well as the official Rockstar Facebook, YouTube and Twitch channels.
Much of the second trailer seemed to be cut together from cutscenes, for example. Hopefully tomorrow's trailer will be raw gameplay, HUD and all included.
The trailer's announcement is accompanied by a nice piece of new art depicting what is most likely Dutch based on the attire - the character's face isn't shown - holding a revolver ready to fire. This, of course, doesn't tell us much about the game we didn't know. That will be the trailer's job.
Red Dead Redemption 2 got three trailers so far. The first was shown, upon its announcement and a second in the wake of two delays introducing the player character, Arthur Morgan. It also confirmed that, as suspected, Red Dead Redemption 2 would be a prequel. The third and, until tomorrow, most recent trailer gave us the most info about the game up until that point, including hints as to its setting, plot and cast.
We haven't seen any footage of gameplay, nor do we have any raw screenshots so far, meaning tomorrow will be the first glimpse of the game as we, the players, will see it. Tune in for up to date coverage of the new info revealed by the trailer later tomorrow.
