It may be called Black Friday, but you might as well make it a Red Friday, right?
…Okay, sorry, that was horrible. With Black Friday sales going on all over the gaming sphere, it’s difficult to keep track of all the great discounts all the different retailers are running concurrently. It’s particularly easy to miss a great deal when the game in question is a relatively old one – just like 2010’s Red Dead Redemption.
The original game deservingly won several Game of the Year nominations, as well as the award itself. Like with so many other games that win said award, Red Dead Redemption received a GOTY edition that, as per tradition, contained all of the DLC for the game in one neat package. For players wanting to catch up on RDR before the sequel hits, this is arguably the best way to do it.
Lucky, then, that Amazon has a damn neat Black Friday on the Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition, isn’t it? While the game is already pretty cheap full price – coming in at $29.99 – the new, discounted price is just $9.99. For a tenner, you get a lot of game. RDR keeps up Rockstar’s penchant of packing their titles full of value, and the edition comes with the Undead Nightmare DLC, which is a whole new single player campaign to boot.
The deal is valid for the Xbox 360 version, which, thanks to Microsoft’s backwards compatibility feature, also works with Xbox One consoles. You don’t even need to tinker with it – just put the X360 Red Dead Redemption disc into your One and play. That said, don’t expect current gen graphics from this old boy – while RDR still measures up visually, those 6 years since release do show.
Will you be picking up Red Dead Redemption’s GOTY edition?
